Student Leader Of The Month (SLOTM)

Archives

About SLOTM

Everyone knows "that person" in his or her organization, or class, who simply goes above and beyond the call of duty. There is a simply way you can make sure that individual is recognized for all that he or she does! You can nominate them for "Student Leader of the Month." Each month, the Center selects one student for the honor of Student Leader of the Month. The list of past Student Leaders can be found toward the bottom of this page. By being recognized as the Office of Student Leadership & Service's Student Leader of Month, the honoree will be recognized on our website and periodically throughout the year for their continued commitment to leadership, service and scholarship.

In the Office of Student Leadership and Service we define leadership as a collection of skills, some of which are innate but most of them learned, that enhance a person’s ability to influence events and people around them.  Each person is a leader; we all simply lead in different ways! The student leader of the month award was created to recognize students who go above and beyond the call of duty to make Emory a vibrant, growing and welcoming community.  Each month during the academic year, we will award one student with this honor.  We wish to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in the areas of leadership, service or scholarship.  Holding an office in a student organization should not be the only criteria for leadership. We in the Office of Student Leadership and Service want to consider all the ways Emory students exhibit leadership and service both inside and outside of the classroom.
