The LeaderShape Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience that builds leadership skills and is one of the premiere programs of its kind in the country. Since 1986, over 20,000 participants from all over the world have graduated from this program.
Each year the Office of Student Leadership & Service sends two students, expense-free, to the National LeaderShape Institute in Champaign, Illinois! LeaderShape occurs throughout the summer, with sessions occurring at different times. Students selected to participate attend for one week. If selected, you would be participating with 60 college students from all over the United States. You will also return with a "Personal Vision." Based on your vision, you will return to Emory to develop and implement various programs or projects at Emory to assist you in reaching that vision. The dates for Summer 2010 are as follows: May 16-21 (Champaign, IL), June 20-25 (Atlanta, GA), July 18-23 (Boston, MA), and August 1-6 (Champaign, IL). If people can attend the June 20-25 session in Atlanta, we may be able to accept two students because travel costs could be lower.
See what past participants have had to say about their LeaderShape experience!
But be prepared! The program is six days of non-stop self-discovery and learning from practical experiences that build your leadership concepts and abilities. You are on the go for as many as 12 hours a day... but you'll love it!
Once you get back from LeaderShape, your experience does not end there! You will be working with a LeaderShape Coach to help you make your LeaderShape Project a reality.
Applications for LeaderShape are available HERE and are due by 5:00pm on February 4, 2010.
