Office of Student Leadership and Service

Special note for agents, promoters & venue managers

We are pleased that you are interested in working with a student organization at Emory! In order to make this experience as pleasant as possible, please note the following:

  • Our students take their organizations seriously. The student leaders decide on which artists to book, where to have their events and most aspects of their events; our staff does not. For a possible booking at Emory, please contact the student organization, directly.

  • We are only permitted to share general contact information regarding our student leaders, unless specific directed by him or her not to do so. This includes the information that one would find by viewing an entry in the Emory Directory. This policy is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 and Emory University’s Policy on the Confidentiality and Release of Information about Students.

  • No student, graduate or undergraduate, has the authority to legally bind Emory University contractually. This includes student organizations & departments. Authorized personnel can be found in our office, the Office of Multicultural Programs & Services, Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life & the Department of Residence Life & Housing.

  • In order for our attorneys to review any contract that your event may entail, we request all contracts, a minimum of, 4 weeks in advance of the event. This gives us ample time to review your contract and make sure that you receive payment on time. We cannot rush contracts.

  • Our office is only directly involved with the negotiation and signing of contracts. The specific student organization you are working with is responsible for payment. In the unlikely event that you experience difficulty collecting your payment, please contact Meredith Honeycutt, the Student Government Association Business Manager at, 404-727-3513 or mhoney@emory.edu.
